Walking With You Through the Journey of Dementia

Dementia Therapist, Katie Green LCSW

Hello! I'm so glad you're here. I’m Katie Green, LCSW, a Chicago-based therapist specializing in dementia and Alzheimer’s care. My passion lies in walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate the complexities of life with dementia, offering compassionate guidance and support every step of the way.

I believe in the importance of evidence-based practices and continually pursue training and education to stay informed of the best approaches for dementia care.  My experience spans a wide range of support: from guiding people through dementia-related crises during 2 a.m. phone calls at the Alzheimer's Association 24/7 Helpline to developing long-term therapeutic relationships that evolve with the many chapters this diagnosis brings.

These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the resilience and strength of the human spirit, even in life’s most challenging moments.

I am committed to educating and normalizing the experiences of those impacted by dementia while creating a safe, supportive space for them to process and grow. This work requires openness, flexibility, understanding, and a willingness to sit with the “hard stuff,” and I consider it a privilege to be there with my clients during some of their most vulnerable times. I strive to create a supportive environment where difficult emotions can be explored with compassion and where families can gain clarity and confidence as they move forward.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your family, or as a caregiver, I am here to provide expert guidance, empathy and practical tools to help you navigate this journey. If this seems like a good fit, please schedule a consultation call below.
