Individual Therapy
In individual therapy sessions tailored for those affected by dementia, I extend my support to a diverse range of individuals, including Dementia Caregivers, Care Partners, Persons Living with Dementia, family members (such as adult children, spouses, and siblings), friends, and professional caregivers. I understand that each person's journey with dementia is unique, and I'm here to provide personalized assistance.

During our sessions, we explore various concerns that may arise, such as processing the impact of a recent diagnosis, managing dementia-related behaviors, navigating complex family dynamics, coping with stress, and developing comprehensive care plans. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where we can address these challenges collaboratively, offering guidance and empowerment along the way.

Two Person Therapy
In therapy sessions catered for pairs impacted by dementia, I welcome any combination of two individuals affected by this journey. This could involve a Person Living with Dementia and their Care Partner, a married couple navigating the challenges of having a parent living with them, siblings experiencing difficulty finding common ground on the next steps of care for a loved one, or any other dynamic specific to your situation.
Together, we address the unique dynamics and challenges that arise within your relationship or family structure. Whether it's enhancing communication, navigating caregiving responsibilities, processing emotions or making difficult decisions, our sessions provide a supportive space for both individuals to express themselves and work towards mutual understanding and support.

Family Therapy
In family therapy sessions tailored for those grappling with the intersection of family history and dementia, I act as a mediator to navigate the intricate dynamics that can arise. This service blends mediation, education, and planning to address the unique challenges families face.
Navigating differing opinions on care, resolving conflicts stemming from family history, or developing comprehensive care plans, I'm here to facilitate constructive dialogue and provide valuable insights. In our sessions, we collaborate towards fostering understanding, harmony, and effective coping strategies within the family unit amidst the complexities of dementia.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy
For active clients, I offer Solution-Focused Brief Therapy sessions tailored to swiftly address pressing needs and brainstorm actionable steps in your current situation. These sessions are designed to be concise, lasting 25 minutes, providing a focused opportunity to check in and strategize effectively.
Whether you're navigating transitions in care planning, grappling with new behaviors, or simply facing a hectic week where a full session isn't feasible, these brief check-ins offer invaluable support and guidance. Together, we concentrate on identifying solutions, leveraging your strengths, and propelling progress, ensuring you receive the assistance you require, even during busy periods.

Intensives
Therapy intensives are designed for clients who require more extensive sessions than the standard one clinical hour per week or every other week. Suitable for individuals, pairs and families, these intensives offer a beneficial option for those unable to commit to weekly therapy but still seeking to delve into the intricate dynamics associated with dementia. They are particularly advantageous for long-distance caregivers, someone with a recent diagnosis in their life, individuals preparing for or going through significant transitions, or anyone desiring additional session time.

Intensives typically begin at 90 minutes and can extend to multi-day sessions lasting 1-3 hours each. Timing is determined in consultation with you, ensuring sessions align with your needs. Each intensive includes both a Pre-Intensive Interview to assess your current situation and a Post-Intensive Interview to review progress, and address any further concerns. Current clients seeking deeper processing in addition to their regular appointments can also benefit from these intensive sessions.

We will start with a complimentary 15 minute consultation to see if this is a good fit. If it is, we will schedule out your package and I will send you a survey to fill out before your Pre-Intensive Interview so I am clear on your best hopes for our time together.
