Dementia and Caregiver Therapy FAQs & Rates
Emerald Green Therapy is a boutique, private-pay therapy practice specializing in dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and caregiver support. My goal is to provide high-touch, specialized care that supports individuals and families through the emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges of neurodegenerative illness.

What can I expect to pay?
Standard Therapy Session (55 minutes): $225
Intensive Therapy Sessions (90–180 minutes): $350–$650
Intensive sessions are designed for families, complex caregiving dynamics, crisis support, or extended consultation and care planning. These sessions provide in-depth guidance and support tailored to the unique needs of dementia and caregiving.
Therapy is an investment in clarity, support, and well-being for you and your family. My work focuses on specialized dementia and caregiver care that often extends beyond what is offered in general therapy settings.

Do you accept insurance?
Emerald Green Therapy is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.
Insurance companies often require a mental health diagnosis and detailed documentation to authorize treatment. Many caregivers and individuals impacted by dementia prefer the privacy, flexibility, and individualized care that private-pay therapy allows.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

How do I pay for sessions?
I accept major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and other secure electronic payment methods. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
Superbills are available upon request for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement.

What is a superbill?
A superbill is a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Reimbursement rates vary by plan and insurer, and I encourage you to contact your insurance provider for details.

Do you offer telehealth or telephone therapy?
Yes. I provide secure telehealth therapy via video as well as telephone sessions for individuals and families who are physically located in the states where I am licensed.
I am licensed to provide telehealth therapy in:
Illinois, Michigan, Texas, Oregon, and Florida.
You must be physically located in one of these states at the time of your session.

What is the No Surprises Act?
The No Surprises Act is a federal law that requires health care providers to give uninsured and self-pay clients a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. If you would like a Good Faith Estimate, please let me know and I will provide one prior to services.

How do I get started?
The best way to begin is with a free 15-minute consultation call. This brief conversation allows us to discuss your goals, answer questions about therapy and fees, and determine if we are a good fit.

Is this service for emergencies?
Emerald Green Therapy is a non-emergency, outpatient therapy practice. I do not provide crisis or emergency services. If you or a loved one are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the U.S.).
